Kate Middleton’s attendance at the Wimbledon tennis championships on Sunday is likely to be her final public appearance for the foreseeable future, according to royal authors.
The Princess of Wales, 42, was greeted with a standing ovation at the annual Grand Slam, four months after revealing her cancer diagnosis to the world.
Renowned royal author Robert Jobson, author of the upcoming book, “Kate Middleton: A Biography of the Future Queen,” has offered an insight into the monarchy’s restoration plans.
“Before, she lived by a calendar, but now she’s living her own life and the calendar comes later,” Jobson told People magazine.
“She will come back, but when you have an experience like this, it changes the way you see things and puts them into order.”

The mother-of-three delighted fans as she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis Club with her nine-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Middleton.

Jobson told the outlet that Kate “showed great courage and grit because she knew the world was watching.”
His comments were echoed by a palace source, who told the outlet that the Queen’s outing had likely given her “nourishment”.
“She’s been through a terribly stressful experience and it’s so important for her to have small victories to look forward to and that give her courage and energy to move forward — and this was it,” the source said.
The mother of three has not made any public appearances since announcing her cancer diagnosis in a video recorded in March to prioritise her treatment.
But just three months later, the royal wrote in a letter that he was “recovering well” but had “good days and bad days” while undergoing chemotherapy.
The following day, she took part in King Charles’ birthday celebrations with the royal family at a military colour procession on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
After two high-profile public appearances this year, the princess will now return to a life out of the spotlight while she continues her treatment.
The Welsh family are reportedly enjoying a warm summer at Anmer Hall, a country house in Sandringham, Norfolk, England.
“She doesn’t need to be in the spotlight,” a source told the outlet, “and being with her family and just being herself will energize her. She’ll have plenty of time to focus on her recovery.”
Middleton, along with her husband, Prince William, and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, are expected to meet King Charles and Camilla at a later date at Balmoral Castle, where the couple spends their summers.
