EA SPORTS has released its final deep dive before the launch of EA FC 25, which is just over a month away. Following last week’s deep dive into Ultimate Team, it’s now time for Career Mode. The blog post detailed a number of changes to the game mode, including the addition of playable Youth Academy teams and the introduction of a Women’s League. Here’s everything new coming to Career Mode in EA SPORTS FC 25.
Live Starting Points and Snapshots
Starting Points and Snapshots are brand new features in EA FC 25 Career Mode that allow you to start your journey from key positions in the season, not just the start of it. For example, if this feature had been available last season, you would have been able to take on Everton FC after they were penalized by 10 points midway through the season.
This feature allows players to experience Career Mode in an entirely new way, making it feel closer to a real-life season than ever before.
FC IQ in Career Mode
FC IQ is a new way to build teams in FC 25 with more detailed tactical presets. For example, the Tiki Taka preset requires a central midfielder to take on the role of a deep lying playmaker, but if there is no central midfielder in the formation, then a central defensive midfielder can take on that role.
Development Plan 2.0
Development plans have been reworked to be driven by player roles and include role growth potential. Each role has its own unique development plan focusing on a set of attributes and abilities. This is a huge improvement over the previous FC Career Mode development plans, allowing for more depth and customisation.

The sweet spot between press conferences and morale
The morale system has been completely overhauled in FC 25. One of the biggest changes is that more is not always better in FC 25. If a player’s morale is too high, they will become complacent and their mental capacity will decrease.
Youth Academy
Youth Academy scouting has been upgraded in FC 25, allowing you to unearth promising talent in over 160 countries. Youth scouting options have also been improved, allowing you to specialise searches for specific roles, such as attacking midfielders or talented defenders.
EA FC 25 also lets you play with the Youth Academy, with tournaments every two months in the new Rush game mode. Winning these tournaments will improve your Youth Academy players’ overall rating and potential.
Career as a women’s soccer manager
For the first time ever, players will be able to manage the top women’s teams from around the world in Career Mode. Women’s Manager Career Saves will contain all the same features as standard Career Mode Saves.
New menu visuals and task list
One of the biggest changes in FC 25 Career Mode is the introduction of a new UI, specifically the task list.

The Task List is a dynamic compilation of pending actions that players may wish to carry out whilst saving – from Squad Management to Youth Academy and other activities.
Some of the biggest names in sports media have also been roped in to contribute to social media coverage, with outlets such as Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic keeping players up to date on FC results and reactions from around the world.
Player careers with icons
FC 25 Player Careers allows you to play some of the greatest players in football history in the modern game, for example starting a career play mode with a current David Beckham for a more unique experience than ever before.
Origin story
Origin Stories are an all-new way to experience FC 25 Career Mode, letting you play out your own story, with three different origin stories available.
You can start as a child prodigy from a legendary football family, or as a player born into poverty with a dream career, or as a player who has reached the pinnacle but has suffered countless injuries and is now rebuilding his career.
