On Thursday, Zara and New York fashion label See will launch a collaborative collection of adorable children’s ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes that incorporate See’s popular bohemian-inspired DNA.
“We’ve been Zara customers for our children and were honored when the team approached us about collaborating. It gave us an opportunity to see a different world and work on an unfamiliar scale. The Zara team was enthusiastic and fun to work with, and their capabilities and approach from design to branding were beneficial,” See founders Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan told WWD.
“We were drawn to Zara’s compelling storytelling, especially through their kids’ collections, so when they approached us we were intrigued and interested. We are thrilled to be introducing See and the collection to a new audience,” they said.
The collection highlights the brand’s light-heartedness and meaningful details, drawing inspiration from the pair’s lifelong friendship, which began when they grew up together in Newburgh, New York, and led to the launch of their fashion label in 2006.
Versatility, comfort and a fun vibe were emphasized throughout the 28-style collection. Key pieces include a seashell patchwork dress, a floral-print collared tank top and a doily baseball jacket, as well as on-trend crystal-embellished Mary Jane flats.
The duo incorporated plenty of See’s signature artisanal details into the collection, like kaleidoscope-inspired patchwork denim, cool crocheted bomber jackets and sporty track shorts with lace embroidery, as seen in the campaign, shot in New York by Quentin de Brie and styled by Thistle Brown.
The Zara x Sea collection, priced from $17.90 to $99.90, will be available through Zara’s e-commerce and in select stores, including a pop-up store at 52 Jobs Lane in Southampton, until Sunday.
